Reading is learning new words.
Reading is learning about different people, people who we may encounter at some point in our lives.
Reading is learning about different behaviours and personalities that we may some day have to tackle.
Reading is learning to face challenges and difficulties by reading about that of others.
Reading helps to drown out the voices in our heads and our houses that we do not want to hear.
Reading teaches us about so much that we do not know.
When we read, we learn and we have fun.
When we read we pay attention – to every word and what it means.
When we read we become disciplined, turning through the pages, resisting the urge to spoil the ending for ourselves.
Name one ‘hobby’ that does the same.
